Sacramento Home Buyers & Sellers Got Legal Back Up

One thing I tell my real estate classes at American River College every semester is to pay attention to the benefits of belonging to the local, state and National Association or Realtors. These associations keep us updated and are fighting everyday to keep real estate transactions fair for consumers and contracts reflective to the current market trends (i.e. as markets change, it’s not uncommon for contracts to reflect those changes to better protect the principles involved.
One of my favorite things, personally, as a Sacramento real estate agent, is the legal support I got right at my finger tips. You see, I happened to have worked at the California Association of Realtors for a number of years between my long-time career of selling houses, so I’m pretty hip and up to speed on all the great benefits that agent-members get, and boy, do I use ‘em. CAR provides me, as a member, live, personalized real estate legal advice when I need it. So, when I have a question I’m concerned about for my buyers, I can call up the legal hot line any day of the week (and even Saturdays for transaction-related inquiries), and address the concern. Likewise, if there’s an issue I want to check on concerning one of my listings, I’m dialing the phone.
Having worked at CAR, I’ve had the pleasure to know and work with some of the legal staff, and I can tell you, they are top notch. Well, you’d have to be to know all the ins and outs of California real estate law where people are suing people all the time. And my goal, at all times, is always to protect my Sacramento real estate clients. So if I don’t know the answer to something, I find it. I never guess. Guessing gets people in trouble, especially where big amounts of money and emotion are involved.
Anyway, that’s all for today, so be sure and tune in to yesterday’s pod cast if you missed it, where I interviewed @MikeMueller on the whys and wherefores of Linkedin. Good stuff! www.InLoveWithSacto.com
